Former India cricketer Ambati Rayudu hit back at criticism over his comments praising MS Dhoni. Rayudu, who was an integral part of Chennai Super Kings’ success in the past, stressed that he would continue to be a big fan of ‘Thala’ MS Dhoni.
Rayudu faced flak for his comments about MS Dhoni following CSK’s failed chase against Punjab Kings in Mullanpur on Tuesday, 8 April. A section of fans labelled his remarks as ‘over-the-top’ after the former CSK star compared Dhoni to a war hero, with a sword in hand.
“I was a Thala’s fan. I am a Thala’s fan I will always be a Thala’s fan,” Rayuru said in X post.
:No matter what anyone thinks or does. It will not make a one percent difference. So please stop spending money on paid pr and donate that to charity. Lot of underprivileged people can benefit,” he added.
