A 6.3 magnitude earthquake has struck Afghanistan, causing widespread devastation in the Nangarhar, Kunar, and Laghman provinces. According to reports, the death toll has surpassed 800, with more than 2,500 people injured and many still believed to be buried under rubble. The Taliban government has directed resources towards the emergency, but reaching distant areas remains a significant challenge due to limited infrastructure. India’s Ministry of External Affairs has issued a statement indicating that “India is ready to help Afghanistan in this difficult time.”
