Cow-worshipping Indians to blame: UK vlogger after finding stolen AirPods in Pak

British YouTuber Miles Routledge, also known as Lord Miles, blamed Indians for the theft after discovering his AirPods in Pakistan nearly a year after they were reportedly lost in Dubai. He claimed that many Indians come from a corrupt system and criticised their religious beliefs, saying they worship cows.

He also alleged that the AirPods were stolen after he entrusted Indian cleaners with his belongings, only for the device to be stolen and sold to someone in Pakistan.

“Many Indians come from a corrupt system. They worship a god that is a cow, not a real man, which is why I believe Indians are not real men. They stole my AirPods when I trusted them to clean my room and then sold them to a man in Pakistan. I do not like India. It’s a country full of 1.4 billion problems,” he told media in Pakistan.

Routledge had enabled the “lost mode” feature on his iPhone, which allowed him to track the AirPods’ location in real time, according to a report by Pakistan’s Geo TV.

To his astonishment, the GPS location showed that the pair of wireless earphones had been transported from Dubai all the way to Kala Gujran, near the city of Jhelum in Pakistan’s Punjab, according to the report.

With no direct contacts in Pakistan, Routledge resorted to his extensive social media following, posting updates on the AirPods’ location and directly tagging the Jhelum Police in his posts, Geo TV reported.

Routledge also reportedly shared the device’s serial number with the police.

JHELUM POLICE ZEROED IN ON PEOPLE WITH DUBAI LINKS FOR AIRPODS

District Police Officer (DPO) Jhelum, Tariq Aziz Sindhu, stepped in and directed his team to identify households in the area with links to Dubai. The police carried out a door-to-door search and found the person using the AirPods. Later, they called him in for questioning about the AirPods.

He confessed to having the device but stated that he had unknowingly bought them from an Indian national in Dubai, unaware that they were stolen, the report claimed.

Accepting his account, the police proceeded to recover the AirPods.

Later, the British YouTuber was contacted to decide whether he would travel to Pakistan to collect them himself or provide a mailing address for delivery.

ROUTLEDGE VISITS PAKISTAN TO GET AIRPODS

Soon, in a post on X, the British YouTuber announced that he had decided to travel to Pakistan and document the recovery of his AirPods on film.

“I’m going to get a police officer and storm the area, get back my AirPods and film it all. Don’t like thieves,” he tweeted, believing that the police had located the suspect and were preparing for a dramatic operation.

Upon arrival, he learned that the AirPods were already in custody, and he was instead invited to lunch at a restaurant, Geo TV reported.

In a televised statement, Miles praised the Jhelum Police, acknowledging their efforts. He remarked that the force had done what “Scotland Yard in London would not do for a British citizen like me,” according to the report.

ROUTLEDGE LASHES OUT AT INDIANS

Following the recovery of his AirPods, Miles Routledge launched a campaign against Indians, calling them “thieves”. In a post, he also claimed the person who stole his AirPods had been arrested in Dubai on theft charges.

“An announcement from the Pakistan Jhelum Police Chief, the Inspector General and Lord Miles regarding the STOLEN AirPods. I have MY AirPods back after 1 year! TLDR; it was unknowingly sold to a Pakistani man by an Indian national who’s now been arrested on procuring and trafficking stolen goods,” Routledge said in a post on X.

Last year too, the YouTuber had sparked controversy after a series of racist posts targeting Indians and joking about launching nuclear bombs at India.

The controversy erupted after Routledge shared a screenshot of a threatening message from an anonymous X user in August. Despite no indication of the sender’s nationality, he accused the individual of being Indian.

In another post, he joked about deploying nuclear weapons against India.

“When I become Prime Minister of England, I’ll open the nuclear silos… I’m itching to launch and atomize entire nations over the smallest infraction (sic),” he wrote. “Hell, I might just launch at India just for the sake of it!”
