The CEO of a software firm in Bengaluru and five of his family members died Saturday after a container truck toppled over and crashed on the roof of their SUV near Nelamangala on the city’s outskirts.
Chandram Yegapagol, MD and CEO of IAST Software Solutions, his wife Gaurabai, their son & daughter, Yegapagol’s sister-in-law and her daughter died on the spot. They were headed to Sangli in their Volvo XC90 SUV when the accident occurred.
“Yegapagol was driving responsibly and was not at fault,” a cop said. The SUV was behind a milk truck when the truck coming from the opposite direction lost control, jumped the median and landed on the SUV.
