Earthquake of 4.0 magnitude strikes Pakistan


A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck Pakistan early Saturday morning at 1:44 a.m., according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received.

The earthquake’s epicenter was recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers, positioned at latitude 29.67N and longitude 66.10E.

The recent quake follows a 4.2-magnitude earthquake that struck parts of Pakistan and Afghanistan on Monday. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), that tremor occurred at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers, increasing the likelihood of aftershocks.
