‘Nayan sekne ja rahe hain’: Lalu Prasad Yadav passes lewd comment on CM Nitish Kumar’s women rally | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: RJD chief Lalu Yadav on Tuesday made controversial sexist remarks on Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar‘s upcoming women’s rally, slated for mid-December.
Referring to the organistation of “Mahila Samvad Yatra,” under chief minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership, the RJD leader told reporters, “Nayan sekne ja rahe hain” which loosely translated means, “ogling at women.”
The former Bihar chief minister also reacted on Mamata Banerjee’s willingness to lead INDIA bloc stating that, “Congress’s objection means nothing. We will support Mamata. Mamata Banerjee should be given the leadership (of the INDIA Bloc).”

“We will form the government again in 2025,” he added.
Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata had earlier said that, “I formed the INDIA alliance. Those who don’t like me will always find faults. They may not like me… But if I were given the responsibility. However, I don’t want it. I don’t want to leave Bengal. I was born here, and I will take my last breath here because I love Bengal so much. But I believe that I can manage this even from here.”
In response to Lalu Yadav’s remark on CM Nitish, Bihar’s deputy chief minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said, “Laluji is on the last stage. He is unable to understand things and says anything.”

The state cabinet has approved a budget of Rs 225.78 crore for organising the ‘Mahila Samvad Yatra’ program across Bihar, focusing on themes of women’s empowerment under chief minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership.
The “Mahila Samvad” initiative, proposed by the rural development department, is seen as significant ahead of next year’s state Assembly elections, as it will facilitate the chief minister’s direct interaction with women on issues impacting their lives.
