Ozzy Osbourne’s shocking Christmas tale: 28 gallons of beer and a journey Through sobriety

Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, known for his rebellious lifestyle and outspoken personality, recently shared a jaw-dropping story about one Christmas when he consumed 28 gallons of beer.

The 76-year-old singer, known for his wild antics and battles with addiction, revealed that he drank a staggering amount to endure the holiday season.

In an interview by The Sun, the “Changes” singer candidly said, “I f**ing hate Christmas. It gets right up my ahole.” To cope with the festivities, he purchased a barrel containing 28 gallons of beer and admitted, “I drank it before it was Christmas f**ing Eve,” which translates to roughly 224 pints consumed in just a few days.

Ozzy’s Relationship with Sobriety

Despite his struggle with alcohol and substance abuse, Osbourne has been open about his ongoing journey towards sobriety. In October, during an appearance on the Madhouse Chronicles Podcast, he confessed, “I am happier, but I am not completely sober. I use a bit of marijuana from time to time.”

He also shared how his wife, Sharon Osbourne, handles his occasional use of substances. “Even with marijuana, she will f***ing find it and get rid of it,” he shared.

Ozzy further explained how a recent medical experience involving a small dose of ketamine triggered unsettling memories, stating, “That thing came back and weighted my brain.”

A Rock Star’s Candid Reflections

The authenticity of Osbourne’s honesty about his struggles with addiction and distaste for Christmas makes it apparent that his life is more than the music he plays. Although he may have exhibited some outrageous behaviours in the past, his candidness in addressing these issues offers a view of his growth and self-awareness journey.

From holiday shenanigans to the war against addiction, Ozzy Osbourne continues to entertain his audience with his straightforward personality and spirit of rock and roll.
